Great suggestions all around.
Did you know that only the Female Mulberry produces fruit? Guess we know which one you got. |
that is the most popular tree back in my home town. grows fast, crazy effective shade tree for the desert town.
i was told (right or wrong, dunno) that the tree roots go shallow because everyone plants grass within the drip-line. the fight for nutrients forces the tree to send the roots up closer to the surface to find food. unknowingly, i have cut some of the shallow running roots. heck i did this at my last house in CA. i just dug some and hacked away with a handsaw. the tree didnt die. maybe i got lucky. oh, tidbit of info. the fruitless mulberry has since been outlawed in my hometown. no more new ones sold or planted. all because of allergies. |

No, I'm no expert - in fact it's my opinion that when it comes to landscape projects - there's certainly way more than one way to do something. That's what makes it fun..... Enjoy!!! |
