Good steak on the Vegas strip

All you Vegas haters, I get it you don't like the strip, no problem so don't go there.
Too late for me the room and airplane tickets are all booked.
We will not have a car, just uber/lyft to/from airport.
We are staying across the street from the Mirage.
I googled mapped the area and searched 'steak house' and I am actually overwhelmed with possibilities.
Yes I know it is going to be expensive (but I'm a middle class guy so would like to keep below $100 each (wife and I, a little less would be better but looking at menus online +$100 a plate is possible), This is going to be our one big splurge for the trip(it is my birthday trip), probably be eating $1.99 foot long hotdogs the rest of the trip .
Any recommendations?

Take an uber to Circus Circus, their steak house is fantastic and wont bust your budget. The rest of the place is a dump. I go there whenever I am in Vegas. Its probably a $5 uber ride from the strip. Just be sure to make a reservation.

It might be a bit of a hidden gem.

Just off the strip is the Golden Steer. Very cool old school ambiance. Been around since the '50's. GREAT steaks imho but its been years since I've been there. Its seen the likes of ALL the old celebs and crooners that have done vegas. Have fun. Yeah, I'm 'betting' reservations will be required. Prob true for anywhere in vegas now.

Many yeas ago (20-30) my best friend got married in Vegas, his dad loved to play blackjack at the Circus Circus and took us all to the Circus Circus steak house, it is at the top of my list because of that, but would prefer something we could walk to (but I'm not ruling it out.)

Morton’s The Steakhouse

I know it is a chain and there may be better choices, but I was really impressed with a Wagyu fillet that I had there. Chef perfected my medium-well request. $70 for the entre, plus salad, wine, desert, and tip went $140. Morton’s is east and north of the Hard Rock, so a bit off the Strip.

I think maybe the best steak I've ever had (or maybe I just need to get out more) was at Nero's at Ceasar's Palace.

We actually stayed at the hotel across the street, it looked really good (and now I see it has great reviews) but we didn't eat there.

Sorry, Scott. Somehow, that steak that night was just perfect.

If you want to walk, you might make it to either Gordon Ramsay's steakhouse or Cut, by Wolfgang Puck. A better steakhouse, and a little further away, is the one at Wynns.

If you like red wine, you might try CarneVino.

If you like a wild view, you might try Oscar's.

If you ask tabs, be careful, he might send you to a ****ing buffet.

Cut is already on the list

The one at Wynns, is that SW Steakhouse?

Also on the list:
Morels
Joe's
Gallager's
Craftsteak
and the Circus Circus

Las Vegas Fine Dining Restaurants | SW Steakhouse | Wynn Las Vegas

Get a domestic prime ribeye and 2 sides, you're at $100. Elsewhere you can spend a lot more for that.

Damn, I don't get an invite to your house?

I was hoping for a big fat steak on one of your innumerable grills, some expensive scotch and a fine cigar. Perhaps a tour of the shoe collection.

Tabs and I once went to a place near the Old Strip called Jerry's Nugget, or something like that. Most excellent prime rib for a very good price and excellent desserts.

I rarely if ever order a steak. I consider what I can make at home better than I can get out. That said I had an amazing steak at a restaurant in Crystals on the strip. The name of the place escapes me though...

I year ya, as best as I can remember I haven't set foot in a steak house in decades, plus I'm more of a seafood guy anyway, but we are going a bit crazy and if I'm going to eat steak Vegas has so many top shelf steak houses I want to go a little wild, aged beef, Wagu, all that fancy stuff!

Very high on the list, reasonably priced, good view, good looking menu, easy walk.

Ate at the Golden Steer many years ago. (1981) It was great, sorry to see it is gone.
I guess the real estate is too expensive for stand alone restaurants.

Nero's at Caesars closed, Golden Steer seems to be still going strong.

That's expensive. If you come to L.A., I'll take you to a place where the two of us can get fantastic steaks for $100 or less OTD, not including wine or booze. And it's not a dump, very hip place.

Of course there is always The Palm but even there, you don't need to spend $100 on food alone. Of course, you can.
