He was truly one amazingly decent man, that tried to show love/compassion for everyone.....certainly, we could all take a lesson.

It's interesting for me in that he was the original, if not early "TV Evangelist". Although that description conjurers up a lot of.......................... not-so-Christian TV 'charlatans'. I do believe he had the most impact to the most people of all races and backgrounds of anyone else in modern history.

He was our modern day Disciple of Jesus Christ. He was Born Again at the age of 16 and gave his life to others to bring them the Word. I cannot think of anyone in the last 99 years who met and influenced presidents to paupers all over the world.

The amazing thing about Billy Graham was that he was respected by everyone. He had supernatural wisdom and I believe there was a special grace (and anointing) to do what he did all those years.

One of my fav stories about him: one time a interviewer wants to trap Graham with the question "Have you every lusted after a woman". It was a no win question. If he said "no" they would say he was a liar. If he said "yes" then the media would have a field day with headlines "Billy Graham admits to a lust problem". Billy just smiled and said (not an exact quote) "I can't stop a bird from flying over my head but I can prevent it from making a nest in my hair".

One of the special things about Billy Graham and the Billy Graham Ministries is that they never had even the hint of a scandal. Their finances were always transparent and above board and there was never any allegation of impropriety in the personal conduct of Billy Graham or the leaders in his ministry. It is a remarkable record and reflects the values of those in his organization.

Yep, I have to admire the man. He taught what he believed, and he followed his own teachings. From what little I know of him, he was a truly good man and helped a lot of people. My uncle was a Methodist minister. I knew him well enough to KNOW he to was a solid honest Christian man to be admired. The world could use more of them.

So many men are really into the religion just for the money and the huge house and status. The Catholic Church itself helped hide and cover up child rape of so many kids.

Billy Graham seems to have been a real man. He left the world a better place.

Watch some of his old stuff from the 50's. There is a Youtube vid of him at Madison Square Garden.

Genuinely powerful and simple messages.

No healing of the sick on stage. No calling out the names of people in the audience by name with a secret microphone stuffed in his ear.

He had to have donations to continue his work. You are entitled to your opinion. If he was a crafty thief he sure fooled me.

Billy Graham walked the walk...an icon. And I'm not a religious man myself....but he leaves a legacy of good that few can match. He's a local hero...whether local is here in NC, the USA, or world wide humanity....YMMV.

Are you saying you were one of the gullible suckers? If not you, what proof do you have that he "stole" money from others?

Mebbe he meant Bill Graham the concert promoter? I dunno...somebody else's job to judge the man, but I can judge his work...he did good and left a legacy of good....YMMV.
