You can't fix stupid....tell him to take matters into his own hand (literally), or buy a high end sex doll.....much cheaper, and no backtalk, or scams.
|
I guess you don't have rub'n'tugs there
|
So his "date" happened......... all he would say was "She didn't look like her picture" to which I asked "Her Adams apple to big for you?" and he wouldn't say anymore. :)
|
This week I found out he sent $8,600 for the freight for a gold shipment "they" are sending him.
It seems they are sending him 186 bars of gold. At a average weight of 27 pounds per bar that is 5,022 pounds weight and a value of $138,121,000 CDN dollars. I can't believe he's being this stupid.......again. :( |
Seriously with somebody like that, I would have cut my ties with him long ago.
I would not want to keep hearing about **** like that from a friend who doesn't want to learn from his mistake, and i wouldn't want him around to drag me down in his drama or worse inflict drama on me. |
Some people have to hit rock bottom before they can admit they have a problem. Your friend might just have to spend until he is dead broke.
He seems intent on it. |
Walking away would be easy, staying friends with someone who is determined to prove you wrong is the hard part. He wants to pile all the gold on his card table to prove all of us wrong. He's got mental health problems and I look at him like I would a friend who has cancer. In this case you go visit him, play cards, shoot some pool and if he brings "it" up you tell him what a idiot he is being.

He was better once the police talked to him or so it seemed. Then he got a email from a "lawyer" telling him he had $2,000 in a account for him and his gold was ready to ship. He emailed the "lawyer" saying he hadn't got any money transferred to him yet. Only he sent the email to me.
I confronted him about it and told him anyone could claim to be a lawyer on the internet and he should quit talking to these thief's as no good could come of it. He had changed his phone number and email address because they were contacting him looking for money and then continued talking to them. I thought he has stopped until this week when he told one of us that he sent the $8,600 for the gold.... :( |
Never wrestle with a pig. You both get dirty and the pig likes it.
|
So what's his new email address? ;)

I told him to remove me from his email list and he hasn't. I told our group that if anyone sends him a email to not include me on any emails they send to him. I told them if they don't mind every police department in the world knowing what you send him then continue emailing him. My reasons for this are simple. With the local PD, CISIS, INTERPOL, CIA and FBI all reading his emails I don't want to be on their lists anymore than I am now. Not to mention the scammers probably have installed spy software on his computer. We know from the police his local computer repair person did. You want to be on his mailing list now? |
Does he have any family you can contact? He needs help.

Only read a few posts on a page or two. I'm fatigued.
. Can you imagine being wrongfully accused of something and folks like him are on your jury? |
Can you 5150 him and have him evaluated. It would def be for his own good - and you'd be a great friend for doing so.
Don't co-sign his bull$%&t. |
I'm gathering a "5150" is some sort of psychic evaluation?
Unless you are family you only have standing with the courts if you can show he is a danger to himself and or others. Unfortunately giving away his money to strangers no matter what the circumstances is not enough for the courts to act. Unless he is doing so in a way that endangers him or others. Yes we looked into it. He asked each of us to lend him $10,000 for 30 days and he would pay us back $20,000. We all refused. He went and did a reverse mortgage on his house (we found out afterwards). So all of his money is gone, his house is gone (he gets to live in it till he dies and then the reverse mortgage people take over). He's 65 years of age and has been driving a street sweeper in 90 degree heat eating dust for 9 hours a day (that's where he got the $8,600 to send them for the freight for the gold) for the last 2 months. I think the cash from street sweeping is straight cash so he has to pay income tax on it next year. Working for cash but getting paid by cheque so the owner gets to deduct the money but doesn't pay for any benefits for him. |

Wow!
Crazy stuff. Poor guy needs help and ironically can't afford to get the help he needs. So, you going to give him the money? green font off... |

Getting the shipment ready? Saw this on the random photo thread and thought about this one... |
Giving him any money is out of the question. It wouldn't matter what we did for him. His compulsion to prove us all wrong is what drives him. He want's to have a huge pile of gold on his card table to show us how wrong we were.
All he needs to do is stop send these thieves any more money but he won't. I told him I would kick him in the nuts till he asked me to stop if that would help him. I also told him his dog could come live with me because he didn't deserve to live in a box down by the river because his owner was being so stupid. I fully expect him to OD on his insulin when he realises how badly he's screwed himself over all this. |
This all started with him chatting with a $2.99 a minute sex worker. He told her (like he told everyone) that his sister and brother were screwing him over his mothers estate. The sex worker told him she too was having trouble getting her inheritance (which was in gold) out of the country. I pointed out that gold was the most easiest commodity to convert to cash in the world. Even when I showed him that there were 5 or 6 places in our city that would do that. He chose to believe the con men over us. I told him she could convert it to cash and then send the cash to him if any of it was true. I said to him "you have no problem sending her money, why couldn't she do the same and send it to him?" Because it was all a big con on him. He told her we (all his friends) said she was a con man. Her answer was "That we were jealous of her love for him" She then offered the name of a police officer to him to prove she was a honest person. So the dumb ass actually emails mrpoliceman@yahoo.com (or some such email address) and asks if she is a honest person.
Yes he's that stupid...... :( |
It is truly amazing that anyone can be so gullible but those con men make their money from someone. Sorry if I came across as flippant or uncaring. I cannot imagine having someone that I care about in such a situation.
Also nice of you to offer to care for his dog. |
