NCAA sweet 16 or others, empty seats???

Is it just me or are there lots of empty seats at the sweet 16, or the entire tournament? Used to be whatever City your team or any team played in, the facility would be full regardless what teams were playing. Now I see so many empty seats during the telecasts that I wonder if big time BB has met their big time "don't give a sh** mode by so many people. Is it the same model as the new NASCAR events, where the camera's don't show the empty seats. Are the seats so expensive where you can't bear to buy a ticket, xeven the lowest price. Just wondering.

When the closest school playing is 3 hours away (and a huge rival to our local football team) and ticket prices are $600 for ONE seat, there's going to be empty seats here. Add in downtown traffic, parking and drunks, not many locals are going to show up. We tend to avoid that area of town when these large events take place.

That is a very exciting atmosphere, something about elimination games

And yet, Omaha turns out for the College World series. Go figure.
