New baby..
Daughter Jill gave birth yesterday to a baby girl named Maeve Lane weighing in at 6 lbs 15 ozs. First grandchild. Not an easy delivery and Jill had a choice of a caesarian op or episiotomy/ forceps. She chose the latter. Son in law was a trooper and witnessed the whole procedure.
Once again thanks to the medical profession for a job well done. Mother and baby are doing well all things considering.

Congratulations on the new arrival. Son IL was braver than I was, I stayed at her head and held her hand...didn't want to watch.

Congrats!
Sounds like a good healthy baby. Our first was a girl as well, but only 5lbs 4 oz. Tiny little thing our daughter could hold in one hand. They grow on you, so take lots of pictures.

Congrats! That must be awesome for you. I remember how amped up my parents were ...
A coworker pulled me aside when I had #1: "You know how they tell you not to have intercourse for 6 weeks after giving birth? ... After watching the process, you'll not want intercourse for twice as long, no problem!"  I am looking forward to grand kids and not having to be there for the process, hopefully. I gave some messy birth support being right in the trenches ... G |
