dumb btich at the valet

Just went to lunch with wife and kids. Much easier just to valet the car then to look for parking. One our way out the typical guy gets us our van and off we go. While we were waiting for the folks in front of us to move their car, these bunch of four to five women (all in their mid 30s) came out talking very loudly looking for attention also waiting. One of the dumb asses said, "This is my car, this is my car" jokingly and decided to pull on our door handle and tried closed the door really quickly. The automatic sliding doors opens. I flew off the handle and started screaming at her. Her fooking reply was,"Its a joke, can you take a joke?". I want off on her even more. She couldn't own up to her mistake and just apologize. Is this the BS we have to deal with when it comes young people? Oh, they ain't all that young, way old enough to know better. My wife was pissed but more pissed at me for screaming at her. My mistake was I unlock all my doors as long as I start my car. I hate door locking features.

What would you guys have done in my situation? Let it go and move on or fly off the handle like me?

Jeff Higgins 03-31-2018 02:22 PM

I woulda thrown her down into a figure four leg lock and arm bar before pounding her mercilessly.

oldE 03-31-2018 02:26 PM

I would have told her for a cheque for $xxx, she could have the darned thing.

Lighten up, Francis.

What Higgins said. And then bounced her head off the pavement until it wouldn't bounce anymore.

Or said that it was my car and that I would appreciate her not touching it.

Then I'd bounce her head some more.

This is like opening someone's front door and say ha ha.

If she was good looking it was quite a funny joke. If she was ugly shes a ferkin b1tch for having done that. How dare she!

I suppose if you live in your van, I will grant you the point. Or if she and her friends followed you home and actually opened your front door and claimed it to be their house.
But it's a van. a piece of personal property yes, but to me not that big a deal.
Unless she wanted to ante up and write the cheque.

Maybe it is a byproduct of living in the city.
I don't .

I guess I had a different definition of "pounding" in mind. Much more satisfying punishment.

bell 03-31-2018 02:51 PM

I think there was a bit of overreaction in your part.
I would have simply said don't be dumb to her, its my car...
I've overreacted to dumb **** in the past and learned from it.....
Try it.....

Was she hawt? ;)

Gogar 03-31-2018 03:07 PM

Sounds pretty stupid to be sure but also sounds pretty benign and you let it control you anyway.

masraum 03-31-2018 03:07 PM

It's pretty obnoxious, but it does sound like you went a bit overboard.

Instead, next time, open her blouse and then close it again real fast. If she complains, say "Its a joke, can you take a joke?"

Porsche-O-Phile 03-31-2018 03:15 PM

You screamed at someone in public for touching your door handle? Seriously?

Naw...she actually opened it...takes it to a WHOLE 'nuther level....

If you so desire ;)

Don't sweat the petty stuff, and don't pet the sweaty stuff....

....and get the hell off my lawn :)

I’m not sure OP’s reaction was overboard.

This individual clearly felt entitled enough to invade his space with complete disregard for him and his family.

She deserved to be put in her place.

PorscheGAL 03-31-2018 03:57 PM

Kids in the back..Someone opens the door. I would have responded the same way. Don't get near my kid.

drkshdw 03-31-2018 04:18 PM

Whatever happened to 'it ain't yours, don't touch it'? On more than one occasion I have come across people using my car as a cart rest in parking lots, using my hood as a place to sit, using my trunk as a place for their purse or using the entire side of my car to 'help' them walk between cars. Coincidentally none of these people (and I mean NONE!) use their own cars for such endeavors. I don't care what you use your own car for but don't use MY car for that. It ain't your car, don't touch it!

Have I gone off on people for doing so? Yes. Even got confrontational with a lady that used my bumper as a curb to stop her minivan (while I was sitting in my car) and she refused to give me her info after breaking my bumper because 'your car is old, get over it'. Then she had the nerve to tell the cop that I hit HER car.

With that said, would I have gone off on this lady? Probably not gone completely off but a sly remark or 3 definitely would've come out of my mouth regarding her excessive sexual activity with multiple gentlemen in her not so recent past.

I dunno if I would've screamed at her but I would've been- um WTF are you doing? If there was potential damage, then yeah, yell. I don't like people touching my stuff, end of story.

With the kids these days- It's not what they done, it's what they claim they have done. The truth is what they claim it is.

Lol! Good flashback. BSiple

Can't put myself into the situation, or your mindset at the time.

Don't think I'd go so off, I hope.

Cheers Richard
