Couldn't have done without everyone's help so thank you all! Dad, if you want to join us for dinner on Friday night, it's on me.

New place looks nice. I must confess, part of the charm of old place was as a well-worn bar. We ate in the back room which felt a little like the finished basement where they put the kids table on holidays. It only added to the experience.

Tempting offer, if we can promise to talk shop not politics. ;)

I'm pretty sure that is it Shaun. Did or does it have pictures of all the local kids sports teams all over the wall. I remember seeing a photo of a wrestling team made up of elementary age kids thinking what a wonderful place that kids get to start so early. That and the wings, oh and Shaun questioning the waitress about if the wings were really hot. I swear the cook was insulted and tried to burn out our insides. Ah good times.

I used to work with a guy in PA who would disappear around dinner time when we travelled. One day I asked him what he was doing. He said that whenever he was out of town, he would ask around for the best dive bar with great food. He would always ask 4 or 5 people and decide what he thought was best. This was in the 90’s and he kept a log with the name and address and his rating. The ones he really liked became his go to when ever he was in that town. He said he didn’t think anyone else would want to go to a dive bar for dinner. I joined him for dinner every time we travelled after that and had some simple, but great meals.
