Congrats, so curious what kind of ponies does it have with all that engine work.

260 on the dyno at the wheels. It's quick. Actually feels really similar to my 87 Carrera (that was also worked over).

Super clean and looks very well done! Keep the wheels.

Best thing is that the motor is bored to 3.7l... ;)

mine looked a bit different at the shoulders and they were in cloth, no leather
but otherwise quite similar.

Very comfortable seats

Impressive number! I bet that car moves down the road.

I am really jealous, because that thing is seriously awesome. One of the few BMWs that really piques my interest.

javadog 04-09-2018 06:38 AM

Nice purchase, I would encourage you to buy the BBS wheels.

+ some large prime number.

That car would get me back in a sedan - really spectacular.

Tervuren 04-09-2018 12:42 PM

I would keep the wheels, they have a period look to them that just goes with the car.

WPOZZZ 04-09-2018 02:24 PM

I love those euro bumpers. Next project, get the euro headlights. :)

It does have euro grills and headlights. Must be the angle. I am looking for French highbeams though...

porsche356a 04-09-2018 06:04 PM

Upper grills now restored...

Love it. Great setup. Dad has a 91 5 series, with a manual and all the creature comforts, just not all the go fast goodies like yours. I would take yours in a heartbeat.

Otter74 04-10-2018 08:30 AM

That is one seriously sweet E28!

vash 04-10-2018 09:17 AM

i would find BBS wheels..but that is just me.

SoCal911T 04-10-2018 05:38 PM

Good luck. They're getting pretty scarce as are the French spec fog lights. I'm glad I stocked up when they were still available at the dealer. :)
