Remember the excitement?

Imagine being 10 years old, waiting for Christmas morning, just knowing dad had that new Schwinn hidden away.

A young guy who posts on the Bullitt board who just ordered his '19 posted this video. Gawd, I can't remember when I was ever this excited. Maybe back in '74?

It also gave me insight to the current Mustang demographic. The electronic things he seems to love are turn offs for me. I don't like TV screen dashes. To me, it all distracts from driving. I do like 480 horsepower and a 6 speed manual, tho. Also the IRS, magnetic adjustable shocks and Torsen rear end. No doubt the car will scoot.

Yep, the car world has passed this crusty old bastid by...

I saw some turkey racing around in a four cylinder mustang this morning, wanted to puke, the sound was terrible and he thought it was fast. ok, maybe faster than my jeep but I wouldn't own one.

Why would you be excited about the
Internal Revenue Service (IRS)?

300HP and 30MPG... with those numbers I could overlook how it sounds.

I would be more worried about the reliably of a 300HP turbo 4 banger.

I don't care for 4 cylinder cars either, but given that it makes as much horsepower as my 4.6 liter 4 valve V8 mustang from 15 years ago, it's pretty impressive. Also cool for marketing in countries where fuel costs are much higher, and taxes of cars are often based on displacement.

Do you care for 4 cylinder motorcycles?

So I'm sayin to myself Scott (I call Myself Scott) surely they make some aftermarket exhaust systems for them thar mustard-tangs....

Yes, I know it still doesn't sound as good as a V8 but it is an improvement:

I don't even care much for the 4 banger Porsche they got out these days, a 4 banger Stang is just laughable.

hey , if somebody wants to buy a 718, fine with me, their car
I just wouldn't buy one new or second hand if there are 6 bangers around.

Stangs on the other hand, I see em in the right lane with the trucks all the time.. doing 90kph...
Why is that?

Because their huge V8 gets crappy gas mileage?

Maybe they were waiting for you to pass and run radar interference? I do that all the time...let some pigeon think he just blew my doors off. Then I follow 1/2 mile or so back while keeping an ear tuned to my V-1.

But that's okay, I know I never had or ever will have a car as special as yours.

21.68 MPG average since purchase...4.6 normally aspirated V-8, a mere 315 horsepower. The '19 Bullitt has an overdrive 6th gear, yields about the same despite it's 480 horsepower and 5.0 V-8. Sells for $30,000 less than a 4 banger turbo Cayman. That's a lot of gas money.

It has never occured to me to make a video expressing all of my hidden feelings on every subject that comes to mind. I am an old fart who believes that's nobodys business but mine. I know several young people that have to express EVERY thought that crosses their minds, and are exhausting to be around, when you can't get a word in edgewise.

Even if I have a new Bullitt on order, I wouldn't share it here until I had driven it/could review it.

Well, to say young Matt is a Mustang fan is an understatement. PANO and EXCELLENCE are off his reading list. However, he seems popular among the youngsters as a youtube car reviewer. Here he is reviewing an '08 Bullitt Mustang, this one with a few mods. No power mods tho, so performance is similar to my slow, old, and obsolete car.

Is it me, or does every YouTube sensation always speak effeminately?
