Rain today, snow tomorrow - April 16th. This the most relentless winter in memory. I’m about to take some snowmen hostage. “I’ve got a hairdryer and I know how to use it.”

legion 04-15-2018 12:45 PM

Ugh. Now they are saying snow on top of the rain.

stevej37 04-15-2018 12:57 PM

Tried to shovel some of the snow...it's as heavy as mud.

I went and bought a grain shovel we've had so much heavy snow this year.

We got the reverse, freezing rain on top of snow.

None the less Amazon Prime delivered in less then 24 hrs (no not via UPS in Canada, they use a "local" delivery company).

Here it's like shoveling sand. Or dry mortar. Except worser. We've had pretty much continuous rain/sleet/snow since Friday.

Weather babe says it might hit 50 on April 24.

She wasn't too clear on which April.

Crowbob 04-15-2018 03:50 PM

1-3" more tonite, 1-3" more tomorrow:

I put away my winter jacket, snow shovel , car brush away for the winter a couple of weeks ago. I refuse to bring them back out. I'm still keeping the ice scraper in the car because you never know.

wdfifteen 04-15-2018 05:13 PM

I just keep bringing out the shovels and scraper. The past ten days it has been cold&snow, cold, cold&rain, cold! Warm&damaging winds, warm&damaging winds. Warm&rain. Now snow again. The weather service has issue a severe weather statement at least once a day every day for a good two weeks.

exc911ence 04-15-2018 07:29 PM

Still raining on the wet coast.... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wat5.gif

flatbutt 04-15-2018 07:46 PM

Just spoke to my friend in Kuaii. Apparently been raining there for more than a month.

jcommin 04-16-2018 03:32 AM

A light dusting in Chicago this morning.

billybek 04-16-2018 04:17 AM

Getting ready for another dump (of snow) today...
The fun never stops...

That there is the reason I don't live in Hawaii!:D
(5 months of snow instead)

GH85Carrera 04-16-2018 05:10 AM

We may have tied an official record low temp for the date this morning, a record from 1921.

With luck, this was the last freeze for the year for us. My wife wants to start planting and is going nuts with the waiting for the last freeze.

legion 04-16-2018 06:46 AM

We got a dusting this morning. Roads were slick as the early snow melted and then froze.

911 Rod 04-16-2018 08:24 AM

How can this crappy weather be so broad?
Freezing rain/rain/ snow on it's 3rd day here in Toronto area.

ckelly78z 04-16-2018 08:36 AM

small amount of snow forcast for tonight, and more possible on Thurs. morning....possibly a nice (still cold) weekend.

My weatherman said it’s January 106th,2018. Now it all makes sense;)

Crowbob 04-16-2018 01:45 PM

My weather guy has a real dry sense of humor and is doing his very best to stay calm. You can tell.

legion 04-16-2018 03:53 PM

Flurries all day. In April. In the second half of April.

motion 04-16-2018 03:57 PM

Whiners!!!!

We usually get a big old spring dump in late May / early June in Red Lodge.

That's because you're supposed to.

flatbutt 04-16-2018 04:06 PM

I've seen that kind of spring snow in the ADK high peaks but only there.

sammyg2 04-16-2018 04:11 PM

We got snow here too but we keep it up in the mountains where it belongs.
And not all year either, only for three months like you-know-who intended.

That’s why mrs WD says. “Don’t worry, it’s still January, January 97th”.
I’m still pissed off. Snow all day here in SW Ohio. We have had NO good weather for 4 effing months.
OTO, no wildfires, earthquakes or hurricanes. So there’s that.

Crowbob 04-16-2018 07:06 PM

There was a map in the paper recently that showed the least likely place for natural disasters.

Michigan!

Roof collapses was not one of the categories, though.

Seems like winter is refusing to go without a fight. First year in the 24 years I have lived in my house that I have had to add propane in the winter. I was down to 10% on my second 1000 gallon tank and got a bit nervous when looking at the forecast so I had them add 300 gallons to get me through until I can buy at the lower summer fill rates. Not happy!
Oh.. and it's snowing lightly now... again... Not Happy!

legion 04-17-2018 07:13 AM

35º today. It's a freakin' heat wave!

Geary 04-17-2018 07:15 AM

Snowing nicely up here in Schweitzer .. now that the lifts are closed :^(

flatbutt 04-17-2018 07:53 AM

All that snow came down as rain here yesterday. It washed all the salt off of the streets! YAY!!!
