Non Stick Pans, again

Yes, there was a thread and I read a bit of it back then. I have been going through some different non sticks but this weekend bought a set of ScanPans. I haven't liked the stuff I have been buying so saw these and will try them. From Denmark, anyone use them? Sixty day store return guarantee and lifetime for the pans, they say.

We gave up trying to cook breakfast in a stainless steel or cast iron pan. Went with this non-stick product. Reported to be a different surface coating and applied differently. And it works with our induction cook top.

Like it so far.

i buy that inexpensive pan at the restaurant supply stores. the tiny egg one is like $8. it starts to wear out, it goes in the recycling bin and i get another.

i have three sizes. small, omelette and 12". i stack them with smallest on the bottom to not scratch the surfaces.

Same thing here.
And the storing part is starting to make my spine talk back again.

I'm planning to buy an iron ceiling hanging rack (um..someday) w/shelf to make room pretty and more functional also.

NASA level specs in planning stage here.
It must be exactly right.

They make items that go inside a skillet/pot so you can stack them and they don't scratch each other. You can buy them on Amazon. Or, if you've got any left over material or an old placemat, you could make your own.

They are often or usually made of felt

After my last omelet pan started losing the teflon coating, I switched to using my anodized aluminum pans with PAM. They are working great and I can use metal spatulas again!

These new pans I bought SAY you can use anything with them. metal spoons, spatulas, just not mixers and other electronic devices in them. The booklet said dishwasher safe but they didn't recommend it, just let cool and wipe out with paper towels or cloths.
and, they aren't made in China.

I bought granite coated pans while I was in the middle east. I liked them so much I got sets for all my children. Sams sells something similar. It's called Greystone Moneta.

•Artech® Stone features four nonstick coating layers: A reinforced base coat, a medium layer of mineral particles and anti-adhesive molecule composite, a marmorized polymeric matrix system and a final top-coat containing high release properties

We have one small Scanpan frying pan. One of the kids sent it a few years ago. I have used it a lot, and no wear to speak of. Mostly fried eggs, omlettes and the like. Wipes right out. Keep it out of the dishwasher, the caustic solution in the dishwasher will ruin the finish on the bottom. I'd buy another but we have so many pans there is no more room.
