I thought Pelicans had first dibs. But I'd pass on a Targa.

I sold my 76' targa here on Pelican about 4 years ago for my asking price of $50k in less than 4 days. At least on here you know you are reaching serious buyers who know what they are looking for. Way less tire kickers.

EBay is also good. I’m not real happy with BaT, they have pushed for ridiculously low reserves on the last two cars I have sent them.

That's rare these days it seems. I found more tire kickers/time wasters on here then anywhere else. I just recently (within 2 months) sold two 911s on BaT and got more than expected on both of them, but I like having the end date in site. One way or the other, you will know something in 7 days. I guess it's different if you're not in a hurry to sell it..

Sounds like you were over priced! They use historical data that seems to work, but I understand what you are saying/feeling. They requested low reserves on both of mine as well but both of them went WAY over their numbers. Just have to be confident in what you have.

I wanted a $10k reserve on a minty 2003 986S, which was $2k less than a similar car that had just sold. They sent me two ratty higher mileage examples as “comps”. I sold it for about $13k within a few weeks without much effort. They pushed for a $30k reserve on my 911, lol. Sorry but I’m not going to risk a cold week of bidding on an otherwise nice car, I’ve sold a lot of them without BaT so it’s not a big deal.

They initially wanted to go with no reserve on the last 911 I sold on there and I had the same fears as you about it might be a cold week for bidding so I said no and took the lower reserve. I just like it because its definitely a quick place to move a car with zero hassles and not much effort!
