can my iphone8 handle 9,998 blocked phone numbers?
it's getting ridiculous.
i keep getting spam phone calls with a phone number very similar to my own. old trick, i know. they did modify it: they call me when i am ON THE PHONE! my same area code and prefix. i know one number (my own is legit), so i imagine i will slowly delete the other 9,998 numbers. i am tempted to get a new phone number..it is that bad.

I can't believe in this day that our phones don't have a "whitelist" feature.

My flip phone allows me to only receive calls from numbers in my contact list. It works wonderfully.

Here are my recommendations; 1. What Ever you do, DO NOT ANSWER ANY CALLS YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE, PERIOD! (Remember that those numbers in your contacts list will post the name). 2. Change your greeting to explain to folks to leave a message or a text and you will call them back. 3. Once verified, add the new number to your contacts. 4. Block all other crap numbers. If you want to get radical, the iPhone 8 has a feature to block all calls not in your contacts. Now, for the fantasy solution, find where the offender is located and have your Mafia Friends permanently fix the problems. I will involve the offender's knees, but you will be ok.

You can also blacklist numbers. I've got a bunch that are blacklisted.

On Verizon and use the app Hiya to block telemarketers and neighborhood number spammers.
Sending them to voicemail filled up my voice mail so just block em. Naver had anyone legit tell me they could not reach me. It blocks texts as well.

I’ve got a call blocker app from AT&T that works somewhat.
I keep getting “local” calls from some kind of job experience company. I just hang up and add them to the blocked call list. |
