Whats your least favorite car color combo?
For me its:
black/black or tan silver/black or tan white/black or tan gray/ black or tan I'm starting to look for a 997 but have been following the market and it seems that 90% or higher of this era of cars have this colours combo. |
Baby blue/white
|
I'm not a big fan of red cars unless its a Ferrari.
Red/beige Yellow/beige. Anything with a white interior. |
Brown/brown.
|
I think you'd have to specify a make/model/year of car for me to say.
A set of colors that is great on one car may not be so great on another. If I were shopping for a Ferrari 360 spyder I would avoid red as an exterior color and go for a dark metallic blue. If I were shopping for a 1999 996 I would avoid metallic, especially bland metallic, and go for bright gloss red color. |

These color combinations are popular for short term owners to order because they have the least negative impact. The cars that have the color combinations I like generally take longer to get to the used car market. |
Brown/brown was the only color I could afford at the time.
After about ten years, and better finances, I got some rust repairs done and changed it to silver. I'm OK with the brown interior. I may change the interior to black and brown at some time as I have a perfect dashboard top in black, and could change a few other parts to match such as te seats. |
Speed yellow anything.

Black/black. Like the way it looks. Just to much trouble to keep clean and gets too hot in the summers.
|
LOL, not for two weeks. they say it's bad for your health, but it doesn't seem to worry me.
But back on topic with the car, they called it metalic bronze, just a fancy word for brown. I couldn't wait to change it to silver. |
high school friend repainted this Accountant Green 55 Chevy to a mildly metallic powder blue. Spent the rest of his high school days driving a blue car with a green interior.
THAT's my least favorite combination |

That's much nicer. Really. Mine was kind of a poo brown.
|
Brown isn't bad. It is just different than a black, white, silver or red car.
My macadamia metallic Boxster. http://www.greatvalleyhouse.com/Boxs...BoxLftFrnt.jpg and the copper brown metallic 930. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1409924906.jpg |
Black with black interior, trim and wheels. At least 930/911 Fuchs had polished rings...not so much today.
|
Orange truck P/U:eek:
|
lime green anything
|
Pink
|
Yellow anything. And red on a sports car.
|
If I had to pick from your list above, then probably white/tan, but the right car done right can look good in darn near any color.

a metallic tobacco brown aircooled is nice.

I can't stand a light grey interior. Pair it with any exterior color you want, I'm not a buyer.
I'm also not a fan of black exteriors, or any color so dark that it resembles black. |

Green and white...of course what do I have? A '67 green and white VW bus.
It's grown on me. |
|
On another thread, someone posted a picture of a bright blue Rolls with bright blue leather.
Maybe Elton John would appreciate it, but to me it's about the ugliest combination I've ever seen. |

Silver or gray anything. So damn sick of it. It’s like a sea of god-awful stainless steel appliances out there.
Anything with actual COLOR (like red, blue, green, yellow, brown, etc.) is a welcome sight! |
It's funny, I haven't ever gone looking for a car by color. I look for the best that I can find of a particular type of car make/model and pretty much whatever color it is, I'll be fine with.
I LOVE my car and it's silver. I've considered putting some of the black fender/arch protectors in front of the rear tires similar to the old 911s. One of the things that I like about my car is that it's probably going to blend in a little and allow me to fly "a little under the radar" which is good. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1408227860.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1408227893.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1408227934.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1408227994.jpg I've always wanted a silver 930 with the black fender guards https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2076/2...cf9da7fe_b.jpg My previous car before the boxster. It doesn't get much brighter than this was although in the fading light of dusk, it didn't look that bright. I was pretty dubious at first, but I really loved the red. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1283996773.jpg Before that I had a black miata and before that a black 911. I really didn't want anything black because of the Houston heat, but I did love both cars. I would have loved to have bought one of these Boxsters if they had come with the same options that my current car has. http://images.nysportscars.com/pictures/38758287.jpg |
