Who is watching the Grand Prix Driver on Prime?
I have found the first two chapters of the McLaren F1 effort fascinating. Talk about cubic dollars as well as having the best of everything in house for design and construction. Then there is the training and conditioning program for the drivers which is intense to say the least.

I hope they do it again this year, it's going a little better for them... It was a heartbreak to watch...

watched "Grand Prix Driver; aka the quick and the dead" last night on prime. Sobering about the carnage of the '60's and '70's

Those videos on Mclaren / Honda were so well done, it's just a shame that the pairing ended up so futile. You could see the energy draining from the team as the episodes went along.
I can see how Alonso thought it was a good moving going to that team, based on history and the resorces at hand, much was expected of them. It seemed that Honda just wasn't trying that hard. Having the engine show up late and not mate up with the engine in the third year of working together, WTF. Especially after the results in the first two years, surprising. Cheers Richard |
