I will seconds that the Sig Mosquito is not good. Mine has FTF a lot.

As said the Sig is out of production, pricey IF you can find one, and you guys are telling me they are not very reliable. Definitely not on the list.

I love my Ruger Mk. III. hunter. I put a cheapo red dot on it and its a ton of fun.

Get one of these withi it: McFadden Machine Ultimate Cliploader

I'm about to pull the trigger (pardon the pun) on a GP100.

Found a indoor range six miles from my house where I can practice, but then, as you say ammo is going to be $$$ and that got me looking at .22's

My friend has a diamondback he lets me shoot when we go to the range, that is what gave me the .357 bug.

And yes as much as I love the colt's they are somewhat out of my budget (especial if I'm going to double down with a .357 and a .22)

He also has an anaconda... fun to shoot... for a little while ;)

I learned to shoot handguns with my Ruger MK I. There were weekends that I shot a case of ammo through that gun.

I sold it after I got my S&W 41.

Buckmarks are nice. I inherited a Mosquito and hated it.

the Contour is accurate. you know the silhouette targets? it has a tiny image of the target over the shoulder and i think it is used for scoring. i would shoot at that tiny image.

i was shooting the crappiest ammo i could find. remmy golds and winny M-22. it was shooting so great!! i need some time at the range with some more decent stuff. i bet with some good ammo, my groups shrink dramatically. i bought my BIL the plain Buckmark; and i was so distracted making sure he acted safely with his new handgun. it was nerveracking bigtime!! he was aiming at the ceiling, the wall next to us..i would admonish him, but he was operating on some muscle memory he picked up from some hollywood film.

i hit a jackrabbit at 25 yards with some CCI mini mag. centermass. maybe the best shot of my life which followed the BEST STALK of my life.

here she is!! i took a quick pic before i put it in my brother's luggage..just incase i never see it again. we are meeting in LA this summer..i'll hopefully get it back then with the new holster.

Yep....time flies when yer holding a cannon....a little while doesn't take very long :).

Happy hunting....and shooting!

Went with the mk iv mostly due to the one button take-down. The gun is far more accurate than I am. And better looking too.

A beautiful gun.

If you don't go the whole hog with a real target .22 such as a Walther or a Pardini, a Model 41 would be the pick of the bunch (in my most humble opinion...)

Yes it is but a little above my budget, I had a S&W 442 on my list but seems like it is not on Kali roster :(

The contour and Ruger are still contending.

vash 05-16-2018 08:13 AM

the Ruger M3 is CA compliant?

Anyone playing around with these?

On my shopping list:

Browning Buckmark Contour URX 7.25" 22LR
S&W VICTORY 22LR
Ruger Mark III Hunter 22LR

Anyone have comments/experience with these?

TIA

I have owned a Buckmark and liked it.

Being rather old school I shoot a Hi-Standard and just bought my wife a S&W 422.

It is pretty convoluted but after searching around seems like the answer is no. :(

didnt think so. that sucks.

you are in the same boat as me. get the contour.

having said that, the regular Buckmark is EXACTLY as accurate. i shot my BIL's gun next to mine.
eyes closed there is not difference in feel. same trigger etc. my groups were mirror images. you save a few bucks.

5.5”

vash 05-16-2018 10:25 AM

Oh. Brownings come with only one magazine. A second one would be nice.

The hunt with mine so the one is good.
