MSM crickets earlier this week on the cop that stopped another school shooter

wonder what will happen with this one??

vash 05-18-2018 07:38 AM

PEACE to the ones lost.

and prayers/thoughts to the ones they leave behind.

i hate this crap.

we need to implement a new law..you do something like this; total news media blackout. no names, zero notoriety. erase any paper trail that they even existed. no death cert, no birth cert..you get removed from the books. quick dump into an unmarked grave. i read the romans did this to criminals.

The Romans ruled by intimidation tactics. Works for a while but not in the long run...we won't even start on the corruption that results.

What a mess this issue has become.

They are probably setting up tents across from the school and will be giving 24/7 coverage of the event immortalizing the shooter.

I agree, when a resource officer was on hand to stop a shooter and did, it was a passing story. This however, this is what they live for, and their over the top coverage of the event is what will entitle a copycat to do the same down the line.

Per the live coverage, (paraphrasing) "We are here at the Agricultural Building where they are setting up staging for all the media arriving"

I heard about that one Ricky, and I don't watch a lot of news....seemed to get adequate coverage. I usually watch the local stations' news (CBS & Fox), and then maybe a bit of the CBS morning show with Nora ;)... if I'm still at home....not usually.

RIP...just tragic (again) :(

The media should show the perp being dumped in the landfill.

Times ten thousand... why they can't figure out they are creating copy cat events by broadcasting these things I don't know.

Unfortunately it is for the ratings "if it bleeds it leads"

Is this the official NRA position? Bury these stories somewhere people will never find them?

Sorry, it’s news and will get reported as long as we still have a free press. They do become less newsworthy as they happen every month, though. This one should go away fairly quickly when a higher body count massacre happens.

speeder 05-18-2018 12:20 PM

It’s also amazing how the police keep taking these mass-shooters alive. Must not have been holding a cell phone.

pavulon 05-18-2018 03:40 PM

I think these events are resulting largely and directly from a culture that appears to only value extremes in any endeavor. Anything less than excellent, terrific, amazing, horrible, terrible, awesome, disastrous, drop the mic, owned, killing it...no longer have value in the US. I understand that the events are not confined to here but they are disproportionately happening here.

And for what? So the little pricks can become media "stars" for a little while? Might be better if the cops just took these crazies out right on the spot. No trial, no photos on the news, nothing about them at all. Maybe just one photo for the media...of the perp lying in a pool of his own blood after being shot full of holes by police.
