I watched. Great fun for this life-long Warriors fan. Oakland will be relatively tame, since this is getting to be old hat. We've already been through this (multiple championships) with the 49ers in the 80s, and the Giants recently.

There have been a lot of pro championships in the SF Bay Area, it seems to me. They will have a parade in Oakland , probably not so much the riots, it was an away game, third time in 4 years too. With the Warriors, seems like the fans of other teams would be getting tired of it. Guess that Mr James could only carry those guys so far

How different would this have gone if JR Smith was a little less high and knew what the score was at the end of that game? Obviously they would not have gotten swept, but would they have rallied and won a few home games? Totally different scene, going back to California 2-2

Lifelong b-ball fan...those four games were the only NBA games I've seen since last year around this time....let the "dynasty" commence . Golden State is gonna be the next Bull(s) run, fun to watch, and the real deal. Once again....I'm sick of hearing about LJ....he (once again) disappeared when it counts....and to mention him in the same sentence as Jordan, Bird, Magic, Duncan, Durant and about a dozen more is absurd imo. No "quit" in those boyz....jmho, and YMMV.

When James is the best player on his team, he can't . Without D. Wade, and K. Irving, he would not have the rings he does have...

Back before the NBA changed the rules...(3 seconds on D, NO hard fouls, etc.), LJ would have had most of his game elminated....'cause he would have been taught a lesson by the "big men" .

LJ is a seriously talented 6'7" guy....but a bit overrated imo...I've just seen him "disapppear" too many times...when it matters.

His biggest weakness isn't his own game, it's his inability to make his teammates better. Jordan won six championships with Luke Longely and Bill Carwright at center, a complete non-factor on offense at power forward, Scottie "calling-him-a-top-fifty-of-all-time-player-is-a-joke" Pippen at small forward and Jim Paxon's kid brother at point guard.

It's also worth pointing out that Jordan routinely made the other "best players in the world" look very pedestrian in head-to-head match ups - yet another thing James does not/cannot do.

Totally agree...

I have nothing against LJ...I just get sick of the talking heads going on and on.

Cleveland officials thanking the Golden State Warriors for the lack of riots in Cleveland...

Yes, don't see him as a leader really. Kevin Durant is superior to Lebron James in pretty much all facets of the game, IMHO. Except maybe for crying to the officials, LJ may have the edge there

^^^^ ....glad Lebron never had to play Detroit back in the day! And LJ didn't even bring his own "A game" to game four...and it didn't really surprise me either.

After these playoffs I've become a Lebron fan. Against Boston he played 46 and 48 minutes the last two games. At the end of those games he still had his legs to hit the big shots. I don't think most people can understand that. Players usually play 36 to maybe 40 minutes a game. Star players are rested strategically so as they are at their best at crunch time. He is super human in my book.

LeBron can't afford to rest...he's that whole friggin' team! Besides, he comes & goes as he pleases...Tyronn Lue seems like just a place-holder at times.

How has the NBA managed to avoid the 'juicing' scandals that've plagued the NFL, MLB and the UCI (bike racing) in recent years? Is the NBA's drug policy as strict as in those other sports?
The word "Superhuman" was once used to describe Lance Armstrong's seemingly natural ability to perform well above expectations too.

Flew in to SFO yesterday to visit one of our daughters, who is a huge Warriors fan. My wife and I could care less. Anyways, after they won she headed out to the Mission district, which last year it was party central. Last night it was like nothing happened. I think it’s as other posters commented, it’s nothing new and was expected. Flying back home in the morning thank God. We are just not big city people. The homelessness problem here is unbelievable.

Agree with fans of other teams not digging the Warriors domination, so some hate comes their way. Part of the deal when you're on top.

If JR Smith had taken a shot or got it to LeBron, they could have easily won that game. If George Hill had made the second free throw, they also would have likely won. But they would have had to make either shot. Not so sure that would have sparked them to win other games- they were pretty much outclassed, although they put up a good fight at times. If they had come to Oakland 2-2, I think they would have left 2-4. As said before, too much talent for basically LeBron to overcome.

LeBron is basically unstoppable, and IMO the best player in the NBA. He carried his team all the way to the finals. No one player on the Warriors could have done that. They almost lost to the Rockets, which was really the championship this year.

Although apples and oranges, the debate is lively on LeBron vs Michael Jordan for best player ever. Kevin Durant is unstoppable in his taller than anyone ability to score at any time. Curry is the most fun to watch, and a lot more likable than LeBron or Durant.

I think the Warriors will be in the championship mix for years to come. Their oldest superstar is only 30 years old. They have more talent than anyone right now, and it's not store bought except for Durant. If LeBron winds up somewhere with Chris Paul, then that team could contend. Houston could well have gotten past the Warriors if Chris Paul hadn't got injured.

He is a "modern", pampered athlete....can't even play a whole game if the a/c isn't on in the arena....I have a pretty good memory . He would have withered away in the old Boston Garden...jmo.

He barely even showed up for game four...crunch time....YMMV.

No debate here...and one of them isn't even a close second...or third, or .....!

Yup. He’s probably the best individual player in the game right now, but can’t lead a team or take over a game like Jordan did routinely.

....and b-ball IS a team sport....Norm nailed it. GOAT....nope!

Jordan was also "mentally tough".... moreso even than his athletic skills...that's what made him great imo.
