Strong rumors support the demise of PP as you know it.

Demise? What's changed other than Wayne's bank account assuming the rumors are correct. Or did they swap stock?

That’s what it says on Grassroots.

No clue as to the financials.

But ECS does not have the reputation for quality of service that pelican enjoyed. In fact there is a Facebook group devoted to th their service....

I know this question was asked last year and we never got an answer from the powers that be. I would assume Wayne got a hefty paycheck to stay on for a few years, but I haven’t seen him around here much lately.

If Wayne was smart enough to cash out while he's still young enough to really enjoy it, then I say good for him.
He earned it, he deserves it, and I'm gonna kiss up to him 'cause he's got a bunch of really cool cars

I haven't noticed and complaints or disgruntled customers so even if it did change hands, it's still apparently working just fine.
And just think of the synergies from laying off all those really expensive moderators they use to have.
I bet Z-man and nostatic were costing six figures each!

It's also possible that Wayne still has PP and sold off the forum so he could focus on the main biddness (and pocket some serious $$ in the process).

This forum is gold Jerry, pure gold!!!!

But.....I fear change!

I agree Sammy, good for Wayne regardless. I hope the Forum remains strong.

I heard this rumor months ago. I have continued to order parts from Pelican with no changes noticed in the customer experience. If anything it's gotten better in the past few months.

You have 250K members on this Web Site....and supposedly all of them are P car or other Kraut car lovers (and not idlers, loafers or shiftless owners either but dedicated died in the wool Porsche flag waving jack booted stomp on the gas pedal owners)..and that is a chunk to be all in one place.

If a change took place it is when they shut down the PARF to outsiders, visitors...I personally don't like that...I liked the reach that Forum had. Now I copy and paste to other places...

That frankly was a stupid move as the PARF had draw...It increased foot traffic.

Give it a chance and keep giving it a chance as long as service remains good!

Well, I guess that depends. The Benz side of things in in constant flux, catalog constantly changing. I was just shipped a w140 v12 radiator listed for an r129. Hose inlets/outlets in different places. Luckily, the hose shipped was wrong also, and I could make it work. It came from Atlanta, as do most of my orders now, which is a good thing for those of us on the east coast.

I suspect Wayne is subject to a confidentiality agreement, as a fair amount of the traffic is thru reputation. But his change in user name and the silence of all concerned tell you all you need to know.

I'm remaining cautiously optimistic. And kudos to Wayne, who built this thing and sold at the top.

Wayne changed his name to Wayne 962 something like 6 months ago. That's when I knew. I never bothered my rep to inquire further.

When did PARF get closed to "Guests"

September 2017?????

It should be reopened to Guests viewership if not contribution.
