What if Starbucks closed for a day...

And no one cared? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo.../coffeecup.gif

widgeon13 05-30-2018 04:42 AM

Fine by me!

BeyGon 05-30-2018 04:49 AM

the ones around here only closed for four hours in the afternoon when it is slower.

sammyg2 05-30-2018 05:55 AM

What is this "starbucks" you speak of?

GH85Carrera 05-30-2018 05:56 AM

When they close it impacts me as much as when a butterfly farts in the rain forest.

dad911 05-30-2018 06:04 AM

IDK, dislike their coffee..haven't had in years.

I suspect it cost them multiple millions.....

Nickshu 05-30-2018 06:16 AM

Where would we go to the bathroom?

flipper35 05-30-2018 06:18 AM

People might find out what good coffee tastes like!

Well, now everyone can go at will. They have opened their crappers up to anyone that feels compelled. Not running a business, just a public toilet.

It makes me feel soooo much better about humanity.

You can also go there and use it as a library or club house. I might start using it as a hobby room.

Nothing says good coffee like every hobo and drunk wandering in to use the restroom.

On average, worldwide coffee flavor would improve.

vash 05-30-2018 06:41 AM

if they closed for a day, there would be millions of coffee fiends at some other coffee shop screwing everything up ordering their drinks in TALL VENTE or GRANDE. it would derail barristas throughout the nation.

fastfredracing 05-30-2018 06:58 AM

America has become so trivial.

Poor Sbx... They keep on setting themselves up to get picked on and abused by people who want to scam them.

But let's not forget the homeless environmentalists...

RKDinOKC 05-30-2018 07:51 AM

They don't close randomly?

stevej37 05-30-2018 07:57 AM

Never been in one.

island911 05-30-2018 08:00 AM

Well, around here, when Starbucks close, the amount of homeless(felons from non-sanctuary States) street crapping goes up.

So, we're all thankful when they are open.

Pazuzu 05-30-2018 08:17 AM

Do you really think the homeless go to Starbucks?

First, it's way too small, can't get a cart in there
Second, it's full of starbucks customers, whom everyone hates

Why bother, when every fast food joint in town has lots of room, very few starbucks customers, and easy access to the bathrooms right next to the front door?

Yes. Absolutely. But probably only for numero dos.

I'm in downtown Seattle. You can't find a fast food joint anywhere - lessen you want to risk your life at 3rd and Pike.

But you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a homeless person or a Starbucks.

If only the overpriced hipster food trucks had restrooms....

they would notice for sure. they are not on every other corner for nothing. that place is busy. collectively we might not be fans, but there ARE fans out there. lots of them.

somebody is buying that premade chicken salad sandwich for $8.

Tidybuoy 05-30-2018 09:42 AM

I only go to Starbucks if I'm on a road trip. I stopped the daily coffee purchase many, many, years ago then the prices rose to rediculous levels. I can make coffee pretty well too!

tabs 05-30-2018 10:04 AM

It is good to know where I can take a dump if need be when away from home..sometime ya just gotta go.

^ I love it. Do you go to a coffee shop to meet people? I go to coffee shops (but not SB) to get coffee. What a radical idea.

A930Rocket 05-30-2018 06:21 PM

I don’t drink coffee, so I’ve never been in a SB’s.

They can have all the homeless people they want.

petrolhead611 05-30-2018 11:28 PM

I only buy coffee from shops that pay their taxes in full in the countries in which they operate.

The one time I went, it was the only thing open on a long stretch of turnpike in the early morning $20 for two hot chocolates, and a danish ???? Never again !

Shaun @ Tru6 05-31-2018 02:40 AM

I wonder how many of the homeless in Starbucks are Vets.
