Marine battery quick connect plugs
I'm installing a trolling motor on my rowboat and want to also install some kind of connectors to the battery. I'll be keeping the battery in a protective case so want to add these leads.
I found these online but not sure how to install them. Any help please? https://www.globalindustrial.com/p/material-handling/dock-truck/winches/warn-w-battery-quick-connects-pair?infoParam.campaignId=T9F&id=241838&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI04mYldCP2wIVy9rACh3ftAikEAEYASAB EgI4O_D_BwE I think the cables get soldered into these plugs ![]() and somehow those plugs are secured inside the housing?

I've used them. Anderson Powerpole. SB connector.
Very expensive at your link. I've used SB50, (50 amp, good for 100 amps at short durations) https://powerwerx.com/anderson-power-powerpole-sb-connectors You can also get them from andymark.com with wires attached. Crimp connections**, then they push in and lock. Available in multiple sizes/colors/amps ** I solder also, but if crimp is done with a real crimper, it's probably better Basically I use a HD Crimper, heat with a propane torch (soldering gun won't get it hot enough) and solder (it will wick in the connector) If your near 287/78 area, I can help you out.

Thanks, I'm about 40 minutes North/West of that junction. I'm going to order now and then follow up. Thanks again!

just got two of these from andymark.com and thinking I'm a dummy. How the heck do I connect these in between the battery and the motor lines? Looks like I need to cut the cables and attach those ends to the devices and use red to red or blue to blue for the circuit connection?

I was thinking 2 of these: 4 Gauge Battery Cable (am-3777) or these: Battery Power Cable, custom length, up to 36" (am-0339)
Cut what you have and you will have two pairs. I don't know what size wire you are splicing to, but something like this should work. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Blackburn-Dual-Rated-Splicer-Reducer-1-0-Stranded-to-14-AWG-with-Solid-Barrier-Wire-Stop-2-Pack-ASR1114-B2-10/100126602 They have various sizes for the correct wire. I believe they sell a splice kit rated for underground/burial/liquidtight, but I couldn't find it online.
