Any of our local forum pilots build a Stratux?
Howdy,
I was just curious if any of our pilots built themselves a Stratux? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5f7521e0d8.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b0d2be1687.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...661ef7865e.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a087425646.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d70b198815.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0d034fef36.jpg Everything went as planned, right up to the power test. When ordering all of my components, I ordered up the Raspberry I was informed that they were now selling the Pi 3 B+. I didn’t think anything of it figuring it would be fine. My question to the Group is, has anyone figured out how to make the new board comparable with the FW?? Since I cannot get the Stratux to boot up, I’m thinking it’s a FW issue. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f26ac06fe4.jpg Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
There are a number of possibilities, you need to eliminate some to get to the solution.
Since PI's boot from SD cards I would first verify the board is not DOA and the current card is good / OS installed correctly. Get another SD card, make sure you get an 8 GB ( or better) class 10 card. Download NOOBS and build a boot disk. Plug the PI into a TV / monitor via HDMI and see if it boots. If yes I would reload whatever OS you are using for the Stratux and try again with no peripherals hooked up. If it boots start adding stuff in. |
Thanks! I'll start working on your recommendations.
I know enough about the finer Pi details to be dangerous. But I am willing to learn..... Cheers Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

When you download NOOBS there should be links for standalone 3rd party formatting utilities that will do it the right way. |

If it is officially sending/receiving over FAA/FCC/other networks....well... |
