BAT doesn’t let people re-list cars so I’m pretty sure that you can contact the seller through their site. They also don’t let people end their auctions early or advertise their cars elsewhere while on their auction site. They’ve eliminated a lot of the BS of eBay.

I have a car I’m about to put on their site if we can agree on the reserve.

I wish they had made the C4 without that fiddly 4+3 automatic.

So my friend is flying out this weekend. I believe he will maybe be driving it back to TN!!

I think he is very excited to have randomly stumbled across his fathers car after all these years.

Mid 88 up you had a choice between an automatic and a ZF 6 speed.

Love that red ZR1 interior and that RED

They don't call it Bring a Trailer (full of cash) for nothing.

I thought that car had its original tires on it.

Not sure I would want to drive it cross country with old tires on it like that.

My first stop would be to a tire shop to have 4 new tires installed, keep the old ones since the are OEM. Bag em up and squeeze em in where they will fit.

chrisf 06-14-2018 11:13 AM

I think the plan is to ship wheels/tires back.

He will put replacement wheels with new tires on for the drive back

I like BAT and had a good experience selling my car there

john70t 06-14-2018 02:24 PM

The BAT website is crashing the firefox browser today (both ads)

This was the car, along with the Grand National,
that brought muscle cars back from the dead decades of the 70s and 80s.

I don't like BAT because it can get you in trouble.

My 320i is a result of me putting in a cheeky bid with a 320 at the end and winning. I call it my poor mans 2002.

Some remarkable cars come through there. My buddy bid up and won a 1991 318is with a S14 swapped into it. I took it for a spin, very cool special car. and as far as I am concerned, he stole it. I think his winning bid was 17K.

I have often wondered about this, Denis. Can anyone confirm this to be true? There are a TON of cars that don't meet reserve, and some that I would consider going after. My guess is somewhere between the high bid and the "unknown" reserve lies a good deal on some cars that just didn't get the attention they expected.

Anyway, would love to know if that is true, and if so, how to go about getting the seller's contact info after the auction ends.

Thanks,

JA

I had buyers contact me directly - had a guy that was going to fly in and see the car before the auction ended.

I think the contact had to occur while the auction is active - but that might not be the case

Just go on the site and read the FAQs about listing your car. Their policies, including the answers to your questions, are all there. :)

Well, there's a novel idea! Yep...will check it out.

I do believe it is BAT policy to connect the high bidder and seller in RNM auctions.

mreid 06-16-2018 05:50 AM

I love BaT.

My 1975 widebody hotrod with a 1995 3.6 will be listed soon. Just need to fix the front cooler oil drip.

That red interior is freaking awesome...

If I could find a silver and red 996/997TT I would have a hard time not selling my nice silver and metropol blue 996TT and buying it.
