I briefly bused at a higher end burger joint when I was a kid. They had a bacon cheeseburger with peanut butter that was really good. I still put peanut butter on my burgers if there's bacon around.

Been a long time but I think that was what the chef called it and my fuzzy memory I think I saw it behind the glass and it looked just like a plain sea cucumber.

I order raw giant clam and abalone so I m not put off by food with a good chew to it.

The restaurant is still open and I could pop in and ask... but it is not something he had often... and it would be a little depressing because since I got married I no longer spend all night hanging out at the sushi bar.

Wow! This meets the spirit of the thread perfectly

Okay. Pancakes with yellow mustard.

Costco cooked deli chicken...straight home while it's hot.
Slice of juicy breast smeared with mayo...learned that from an ex g/f born and raised in Alabama.

Never though poutine was appealing until I tried it - awesome.
Tried chicken and waffles - hated it

The est coasters here like deep fried pepperoni, thought it sounded gross but tried it - awesome

Lots of ideas here I don’t find appealing. 🤢

I guess I’m just an old curmudgeon.

I do like tomato sandwiches with mayo. Banana with peanut butter and mayo sandwiches. And sliced green olives with mayo sandwiches. All on white bread.

Every summer I strive to grow just one tomato that is large enough for one slice of it to cover an entire piece of bread for the sole purpose of tomato sandwiches. On white bread, lightly toasted, smeared with mayo, with just one 1/2"-3/4" thick slice of a tomato with a sprinkling of salt. That right there, has got to be one of the best sandwiches of all time. So simple yet amazing. Makes my mouth water just typing about it.

Anybody mention chicken and waffles yet? I’ve tried it. It’s a great if you’ve been bar hopping all night and you’re hungry at 4 AM. Just get dinner and breakfast out of the way in one trough of grease and syrup.

This is a man after my own heart. Such a noble quest, and how satisfying once achieved.

Out of all the veggies that one can grow, or attempt to grow, nothing quite like a home grown tomato.
So unlike the paper mache ones in the store...no matter how much they promote them.

It only happens once or twice a year if I'm lucky. Sometimes it only comes close enough. And no matter what anyone says, having to use multiple slices on the same sandwich just isn't the same.

Oh there is nothing like home grown tomatoes. I have no idea how they manage to grow such tasteless ones to sell at the grocery store but they are revolting compared to garden fresh.

They grow a lot of tomatoes for Campbell’s in the black swamp area of Ohio. I was following a tomato truck in my 356 coupe and some tomatoes fell off the truck. They hit the pavement and bounced clear over my car. A good tomato would have been moosh on the road at first contact. They are bred to be sturdy, not tasty.
