Car insurance - DIY cost reduction
Got three cars under a "corporate" rate policy with Metropolitan in FL. One insured Porsche is driven less frequently. Checked on insurance difference for "garaged/parked" vs "driven" car. $500 deductible annual premium for driven car is $1,084. Parked in garage premium is $290 annually. Trick is to call insurance co to turn full coverage on/off as needed. Email confirmation is always had. Gotta keep track of dates or this gets messy quickly. Have gone on/off number of times with no complaint from Met.
(Used to have Progressive non-corporate policy. Premium was double.)
