Another noob refinishing question
I have some plastic splitters that have some stress cracks in the clear coat. I know I need to take down the clear/paint until the cracks are gone before I prime them.
In terms of the rest of the paint it is in good condition. So do I just sand down the defect and then feather out the edges or remove all of the paint? My last bumper job since the paint was crap I had to remove the paint, which was a bear of a job. On these splitters the paint is good minus the stress cracks. Thanks! |

you should be able to just sand out and feather edge the cracked areas.
