Targa Front and Rear Windshield Gasket Trim

I am removing both windows for a glass-out paint job. The rear window's gasket has cracks on the aft radius anyway.

Question, when installing new gaskets, does the gasket trim get installed in the gaskets prior to installing the glass and gaskets in the car?

The trim is placed in the rubber prior to installation including the small pieces.
The rear window is an extremely difficult project and requires two helpers 'nudging & serious massaging' at the bottom of the corners to get it re-installed. There are several posts in the Tech section discussing this topic so do a search.
Take your time and have patience, it will take a few tries. I finally got mine back in on the 7th attempt.
Good luck!

Thank you for the info. I am using two pieces of 7/8" square bar and I have welded padeyes to them to so I can insert them in the jacking points and use ratcheting cargo straps (with suitable padding) to pull the rear window down and forward.
