I think I may have messed up... My 83 911 cabrio is the first car I have ever driven and used a bra. Mine is only used part of the time and I only use the front slip-on hood piece. Well, we recently went on vacation and I left the bra on while we were gone (just forgot at the last minute). So, the thing was on the car in the garage for most of the last 3 weeks. Today I drove it to work, nad at lunch time, I decided to remove it and I was not very happy when I did.
![]() I found under the bra, and only under where the bra was covering, small bubbles in the paint. Maybe a dozen. Most were pin head size, and a few (the largest) were the size of a pencil eraser. It's the original paint. The car is driven 3-4 times a week typically, so I have my share of paint chips on the front end, but these spots were not looking like chipped, or even previously chipped areas. Could this actually be rust bubbles, or could it be something else? Should I let it bake in the sun for a bit or is the damage done (I know, probably just avoiding the pain)? I am also posting this in paint and body section. Maybe it is time to plan a front end respray.... ![]()

Some times it's hard to give an opinion without visuals, but here is mine: wild as it sound, it may be some galvanizing fumes forcing their way to the top, this is the kind of problem that it seems like just happened out of the blue, but in fact, it has been working for a while. I've seen it happened quiet some times, but not all that often on original paint.
