Targa Bar cover

Does anyone know how to finish a targa bar cover in a "Brushed Stainless Steel finish?
I salvaged a painted one, had it chemically stripped, had it polished to a mirror finish, and know need to get the brushed look.

You will need to use something to "cut' into the metal to create the brushed effect. Start with a fine sand paper maybe 220 and sand in a straight line left to right across the bar. Not front to back. Increase the coarseness of paper until you get the desired brush effect. You may also wish to try a wire wheel on a drill. In either scenario take your time you don't want to over do it and have to start again. It is best if you can match your bar to another to ensure the desired effect.
