BMW Roundel Need a littel help I want to remove the existing paint frpom my car

I'm going to eventually paint my Porsche. What I want to do is to remove all the existing paint down to the metal. What is the best way to remove the paint. I was thinking about getting an electric DA sander who do you think?

Thanks

I have tried both chemical and air da. Neither is super fast. Between the cost of the stripper and the cost of da discs it makes media blasting look like a good option.

what is the reason you need to strip the car ? how many time has the car been painted ? is it single stage or base clear ? for get about striping a car with a dual action (DA) sander becouse it does just that . if you want to do it with a sander . the best way would be with a da grinder tipe go to (auto body tool mart .com and its part #3605 da sander-870 for 57.99) set it on the grind mode and with 80 grit da paper start striping . then go over the car with it set on da mod and 180 grit da the car down . doing it that way is not all that bad if it only has the oe paint on it . you could go with chemicl . and in my shop we use automotive aircraft striper . we put the striper on one panel at a time then cover it with plastic so it does not evaporate to fast . the other way is to blast the car. we soda blast our cars it removes all the paint but is very ez on the mettal . it can be doen to fiberglass and carbon fiber . then if there is rust we go and blast thous spots with black beauty . but it all depends on what and how much paint is on the car .
