Hi-
I have been lusting after your car ever since I laid eyes on it. You have indeed built a beautiful car.
My vehicle is an '89 Carrera, and I want to move forward with some exterior modifications along the the same path you have chosen. I don't pretend to have the obvious skill's you have exhibited here, but know when to look for someone with them to accomplish what I am at this point unable to do.
Let me start here, what mods did you have to do for fitment of front bumper? I have been in contact with company you listed as source, but not heard back as yet.
Secondly, rear flares, availability and fitment seem to be a major undertaking. I am thinking it may be better for me to try and find regular turbo flares for fitment, but am concerned about fitment of rear bumper you show. Do you think this would be an issue?
Thanks for any assistance you can provide, or direction you may point me.
Regards, Joseph

The 'blackbird' is now totally finito :D and this is how it has turned out. The photo's were taken at our local Porsche dealership on a recent open day.
They had some wicked cars there inc the Carrera GT in the background.

After all the work the body turned out as I wanted and not a bad job, certainly got some looks and good comments.

I seem to remember that he use the standard 3.2 Carerra one and just cut it down.

Thanks, Pete. Jammo's looks pretty good. I'm committed to Ed's/Bill's version using 4-inch wide by 0.22-inch thick conveyor belt material sandwiched between the fiberglass and aluminum backing, using stainless steel fasteners. Hopefully mine will look like Ruf's version--only with 3 inches revealed instead of 2 inches.

I have a set of RUF front and Rear bumpers to go too. I'll probably also use the conveyor belt method....

Hope yours has a lip to mount the dam to.

Hi, Pete. Wavey brought up a great point about the Ruf CTR valence needing a lip to attach the aluminum strip and conveyor belt material to. Here's a pic of the Rennspeed--where mine is coming from. It doesn't look like there's a lip there--and if it does--it's hard to make out if there is a lip?

I see what you mean. It's not very clear from that pic. Im away at the moment, but I'll try and look at mine and see if there's a lip there.

The original BW Motorsport parts didn't have a lip either, but mid way through his run of bumpers for Souk's Yellowbird GB, he added the lip, as well as the option to have brake duct inlets rather than fog light openings.

If the bumper you're getting doesn't have the lip it should be pretty easy for your body guy to glass a lip in place. Or glass a piece of aluminum L channel in place which would probably be even stronger. But either way you'll need a lip to attach the rubber belting to.
