POR15 over rust converter is ok?

Can I paint POR15 over a surface where a rust converter been applied?

I would think so as the complete POR 15 process is to use "Marine Clean" to convert the rust and "Metal Ready" to degrease the surface prior to coating with POR-15.

Their site, POR15, Inc. - Stop Rust Permanently - Repair Gas & Fuel Tanks will give you some info. You could also email the manufacturer.

I suggest they'll advise you to clean back to metal than start the 3 step process as indicated by Harry.
