Paint where can I buy

A friend is restoring a 1966 912 he wants to paint it the original color.
In Mexico he cannot find the right color or paint, the suppliers gave him some samples and they were not able to mix the right color.
Where can he buy in the USA the paint in this color
PORSCHE 912, 1966. LIGHT IVORY, NUMBER 6604 CODE 131.

Glasurit offered a water based paint but it is very difficult to apply.
He wants a paint that he can spray on without needing special equipment.

PORSCHE HELLELFENBEIN 6604 1966-1973

CLASSIC CAR COLORS von GLASURIT - die Experten für Ihren Oldtimer - Formula search / Find my shade

I would buy the 22 line which is a single stage urethane with hardener.

I found a glasurit dealer locator on the internet recently but cannot find it now. I would search for one. If all else fails, I will get the paint and hardener for you and ship it ground if there are no restrictions regarding customs. I don't think that stuff can be air lifted.

PM me if interested. I want no money on the deal (except for paint and shipping) but at least I can look at the paint before shipping to make sure it looks close to the shade in the online catalog. If I were you that would give me a lot of comfort before dropping several hundred dollars and have to wait for a surprise.

Alternatively, you can deal with my jobber and I can still go down and look at it before they ship.

as an EX-BASF glasurit paint rep . glasurit offers there colors in many of there paint lines . there is 55 base coat , 22 line single stage , and 90 line water base color . only in Califoria will they sell just the 90 line . if you google glasurit of mexico you will come up with the jobbers in mexico . you can get just what you want for paint in your area . most jobbers will not ship paints because of the risk and fines . if some thing brakes open it is the responsibility if the person that ships the package to pay all the fines to the DEP, EPA , AND SO ON . you could end up paying thousands of dollars just for one gal of paint or hardener . then there is the matter of the color code . light ivory #131 its a 1972 and 1974 year color only . med ivory is a 1972 to 1973 year color only .there was no ivory offered in 1966 so i'm sure thats why they can't come up with the color for that year 1966 . most likely it would be sandbeige #510 1966 to 1968 year color . as for spraying a water base colors there is nothing special you realy need . in my shop we have 3 mixxing systems the 22 line , 55 line and the new 90 line . the only thing about spraying the 90 line is heat does not flash off the color it flashes with air moving across it . as for applying it almost the same as 55 line. you just apply your cover coats a little wetter than you would with the 55 line . you still use the same primers ,sealers and clears . its not a big deal to use the 90 system .

PORSCHE HELLELFENBEIN 6604 1966-1973 is definitely available for the 911 in 1966. The 912 lists one color. The HELLELFENBEIN looks more like a creamy tan than ivory

I found the dealer locator.
