Paint name/code

I think this car is Gulf Orange. But... maybe it's Tangerine (Blutorange). Can anyone confirm the color and the code? Much appreciated. Greg

if there was not a color change to the car you can take the vin number and call the porsche dealers parts department and they will give you the color code and name . if not i could check into it and get the info for you when i get to my shop .

I should have mentioned that this is not my car. I would like to paint my car in this color. I have no idea where this car is located, I am merely an admirer.

yep i would say its gulf orange too code 019 from 1973 to 2005 or for 1972 only the code would be 061 .

Gulf Orange 019 has been ordered and will be sprayed in my interior, engine bay and boot after strip, media blast, primer, seam sealer etc. It a DIY project over the holidays. Then it's off to a real body shop to do the exterior. Thanks for the confirmation on the color and codes.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1293138606.jpg

Man!!! this is orange. Does it look like Gulf Orange to you? I am trying not to loose my nerve. This is supposed to be 019 Gulf Orange. Looks like a hunting cap to me but it is under florescent lighting.

For early cars, you can look here:

Porsche 911 Farbdatenbank

and here:

it looks like 061 / 019 golf orange to me . i would not say the car on the top of this posting is 116 / 1414 signal orange . signal orange is a lighter color orange . if your trying to match a color from a photo for get it ! thats like a dog chasing its tail . if your thinking its to bright of an orange than i will have to ask what color ground coat did you use ? how many color coats were applied ? if you used a white ground coat with only two color coats it will look brighter than the same color sprayed over a very light gray with 3 or 4 color coats .

The interior shot is 2 coats over black rock guard. i think it will be fine once the car gets stripes, tires, trim etc. Looks like this later model which I like very much Thanks for the input. Greg
