Heater hose under the inner rocker

I restore my '69 2.0E and removed the oiter and inner orckers. Under the inner rocker you can find a hose for the heating. It doesn't look too good on my car, so i want to replace it. Any suggestions where i can get some pipes like this? It has to look like original, becuase it will be a premium restoration.

I need the piece marked with red.

Since it is conceled in the rocker panel what would it matter? The pipe is the same size as 2"
exhaust tubing. Get some stainless and it will out last the car.

+1 or...if it just looks a little rough, use it anyway. In this case, no holes = serviceable.

What you are looking for is this:

They can be bought at Porsche dealers for around $250 or so. Stoddard's has them too.

Thanks for the pic. Owned my 911 15 years and never saw a pic like this. Now I know what folks mean when they say close the heater boxes off for mice. Is the tube mouse "munch-able"?

I suppose that a mouse could get into the heater muffler if the heater flapper remained open. And yes, that mouse would find it very nice in there.

The heater muffler is corrugated aluminum/paper tubes. Two concentric tubes with fiberglass between them. The inner tube is perforated. The end caps are nylon. Construction is very much like a glass-pack muffler.

Porsche actually references this as a "muffler" as it is designed to keep the noise travelling up the air tube from the engine a bit quieter.

I deleted them in my rebuild and just used some heater tube. I don't need heat where I live anyway.

Abisel I wished you had a whole thread of your own with the pictures of your restoration. I have been admiring your work and postings for years.

Thanks for your words. Hard to believe that the picture I posted here is 2 years old. I have thought of starting a thread on the build/restoration. I may still do it.

Sorry for hijacking your thread hun911, I just wanted to reply to kycarguy935's words.
