Another Rocker rust question

So here is my passenger side rocker rust.

My plan is to remove the section in red Neutralize any rust while open. SEM Rust shield from the inside then weld in a new piece. Any thoughts or recommendations?

Sorry I forgot to add this pick of the door sill

The brown in the crease is not rust it is old brown paint.

You'll get sick of reading "rust is an iceburg", but to an extent that's true.

The rust doesn't seem too bad, and it's not structural there. Door sill looks fine, you could patch the holes. I'd replace the kidney/sill support - too fiddly (and cheap to replace). You need to cut/probe to the jack support plate to check its condition too.

Cheers

Thanks Fishcop. What do you mean replace the kidney/sill support? The Kidney bowl looks fine no rust there.

Fishcop- it took me awhile but I figured kidney/sill support is two pieces. Kidney bowl and sill support. I read it as one piece which threw me. I didnt know what the part was youwere reffering to.

So do you think a patch as I out lined will do?
