PPG Deltron vs PPG Shopline for complete repaint
My '86 944 Turbo is prepped and ready for paint. The shop doing the job is a client, and they want to do a good job, but they don't want to see me spend too much $$ on this old turbo.
They apparently use PPG paints, but I guess they can buy whatever I want. The color is the ordinary guards red for a '86 turbo and the entire car is being repainted, including jambs, etc. This car is a nice driver, with about 100k on it. I take it to the track, drive it in the snow, park it in Detroit, and generally put about 5000 miles a year on it. So its no garage queen, but i intend to keep the car for awhile. Its garaged when not driven, and I take good care of my cars. The question is whether is okay to use the PPG autoline or the PPG Deltron DBC. I understand the price difference is double for Deltron DBC. Anyone care to wiegh in?

I would use PPG Global, but I painted one of my old drivers with PPG's shopline and had excellent results. most of the work is in the prep and finish, not the paint
