Plastic media blasting for surface rust ?

Do you recommend plastic media blasting for surface rust ?
Car was stripped with chemical strippers and left without primer, after some years all the body has surface rust.

it would or does depend on how bad the rust is as to what media you should use .
it also depends on just what car your thinking of blasting . big old cars with a heaver gage metal you can be a little more aggressive with the media you pick .
but the plastic media will be just fine for most surface rust .

Thanks for your answer.
I will try to use plastic media and see what the results are.

There are some exellent brush on chemicals that stop rust and kill the cancer. Google it. Worth a look and they don't eat metal like abrasive products.

products like brush on encapsulator's do not kill rust it does just as it states encapsulates it .
that type of product has it's uses for things like down inside the rails of a chassis were blasting will not get to .
blasting will not change the gage of the steel at all so eating up your panels by blasting is nothing you would ever have to worry about .
