Rear Window...

All right, I tried this post on the regular 911 board and did not get much response; maybe this is a more appropriate forum...

OK, I have experienced the bane of all coonvertible owners; that creeping mold/mildew/oxidation/whatever the h**l it is to the point that I cannot see through the back window any more. (Yes, it came this way b/c of the previous owner).

Any and all advice as to how to get it even REMOTELY clear again is appreciated.

p21s polish and a dab of blue magic

Hi Matt,
I am in the same boat as you are and ran across John Paterek's advice in the Tech section of the PCA website and this is a quote from him. I already bought the blue magic stuff and am looking for the p21s polish, and will have a try at it next weekend. Good luck, Andy.

"We use P-21 Polish with a pea size drop of Blue Magic (Metal and Plexiglas polish cream)we recently demonstrated this method at our yearly tech seminar at Paterek Brothers on a 58 Speedster side curtain that had not been cleaned or cared for in 35 years. It was trash prior to cleaning but took on a whle new life after 10 minutes of attention with this process. Remember to use 100% cotton toweling to apply and a cotton t-shirt to buff off.

Where do you buy this Blue Magic and P-21 polish? Have you had good success with it?

Thx,
Ken

Porsche has a convertible window cleaner that is supposedly supposed to work well on the Boxster windows...

It's on this page:
