Help with bodywork cost - 996 side
Hi guys, my friend is considering buying this car but it has a large scratch across the door, front & rear fenders. Can anyone give a rough idea on the cost to fix this? Whether it's a $2000 or $5000 job roughly. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you ![]()

Depends. That 1/4 is salvageable. Price lkq doors vs repair. How bad is the fender? I was thinking around 3k

My wife had much less scrape on the rear quarter panel only of her Infiniti EX35 and the repair was $1,800. You will need 3 panels + paint, budget at least $5,000.

Throw some Pelican stickers over it and call it good. Otherwise, trust 962porsche -- gonna be a fortune to fix it properly. The good news is that I can't see paying 5 figures for the car as it sits. Hope it helps!

You could probably fix that cheaper, as long as you love bondo...
Bend front door edge back into shape... Then add tons of bondo... Not correct, I know. But if that's an early 996 thats potentially a $15000 car... Does it have to be great? Or just good enough? If you bondo it yourself, you probably could get a collision shop to shoot it for $1500 or so for that side... |
