Turbo Tail Seal Help

Ready to install new Turbo Tail seal to its base and have a few questions.

The seal comes from Porsche with pre-applied double-sided adhesive. Is this enough? Especially along the top edge where the surface area is minimal and there are no mechanical fasteners (see photo 3)? Can I use another type of contact adhesive to strengthen this bond, or am I just relying on pressure between the Turbo Tail base and the deck lid?

My plan is to soften the seal with a heat gun, hold it in place with small clamps, and do a dry fit to determine my starting point, then work my way around starting at the bottom center (that's where the original seal ends met).

The sides have three unique rivets on each side (see photo 1). I've searched all over for these and have had no luck, so my thought was to use 1/8" aluminum binding posts (see photo 4). They're very flat and have enough surface area to trap the seal like the original rivet.

Also was going to use adhesion promoter on the fiberglass.

Any insight much appreciated! Thanks.
