Is this Ossi blue or Oslo blue?

I saw this beautiful 911 at the Ventura Porsche gathering and asked the owner what color it was. He said either Ossi blue or Oslo blue - I can't remember which. Does anyone know the color? Does anyone know the color code? -thanks

ossi-blau color code 6803 used from 1968-1969 . thats what it looks like . it could also be oslo-blau but it looks to light to be that from the photo . oslo-blau is a 099 color special order only color for the years 2007 2008 . but the color code is Z77 for oslo-blau . i gust took out an old spray out card of the color 6803 that i did when i refinished a customers 1968 912 in ossi-blau some years back and a spray out i did of Z77 from job this spring . its color #6803 !

maybe it's the digital computer's inability to capture it correctly, or the green grass and gulf blue background, but the car doesnt look like a standard Ossi Blue in the photo. it's more like a cross between a Ossi Blue and Gulf Blue with a tinge of green?

is that how the paint should be mixed to get the same as the picture(maybe not as the real car?)

Ossi blue seems to look like a light Albert Blue
Oslo Blue is a darker Albert Blue with some gray to flatten it
Slate Blue is the same as Oslo Blue but lighter shade?

I have an Ossi blue '68 and that is not the same blue. Could be the lighting, but based upon the picture that is a different color. If that is Ossi, the paint is severely faded.

yes it is very hard to say what that color is . it is lighter than the spray out i have but out of the two colors chooses offerd z77 is even a worse match . i'm thinking its the lighting in the photo . thats why i hate when a customer brings me a photo of a car and asks me to paint there car the same color !!!!

The color looks like Ultra Blue (standard 68-69 color).

Oslo

Ossi

I agree that the appearance of colors as viewed from a computer monitor may be a little different than what those colors appear like in person. However, in this case, I have seen my photo on three different monitors, and all three were fairly accurate representations of what the color appeared like in person. I've been shown Ossi Blue in person, and it was much darker - more like the Ossi Blue in Kurteck's pic. I'm thinking that this 911 is Oslo Blue - a 1962-63 Porsche 356 color. It even matches closest to the Oslo Blue pic of the three pics that Kurteck posted. I still hope that the owner can share with us the actual color code and paint brand. Thanks.

Fishcop can shed some light on blue Porsches...he's got an awesome one and seems to know the details of the various blues similar to this one. I love it but I have to admit I've never seen any of these blues in real life...only pictures.

Apparently the owner stated it was a 356 color if that helps. I actually think it looks like that new Mini Cooper color

You don't always have to search within the Porsche color pallet...

My car was Ossi Blau(3803) from factory, but is currently Arrow Blau (L305). Blues change so much from camera to camera, monitor to monitor and various lighting.

As much as I LOVE Arrow Blue, I will eventually take my car back to Ossi.
