Panel flanger recommendation

Need recommendation for a good panel flanger that can deal with 911 sheet metal. I picked up a vice grip style from Eastwood and it barely makes a dent in the sheet metal let alone flange it. Totally worthless. Need something that works.

i have a few flange tools . but over lapping your panels is not the best idea at all . but welding them is best .

Fiberglassover sheet metal. I had to cut the roof and sunroof out to fully weld the cage. So laying in a 'glass roof panel, I left about 3" of sheet metal around the edges so I could flange and bond the 'glass on.

The flange tool only crimps about a 1/2" flange with a 1/16 dropped. This would not be suffice to glue the fiberglass section in place. I would fit the fiberglass roof panel to insure the piece fits flush with the existing roof. if it does,grind to bare metal with a 24 grit grinding disc, rough up the underside of the fiberglass roof and use SEM panel bonding adhesive to adhere to the car. use c-clamp vise grips and wooden paint sticks to hold in place. Once cured you will need to use a fiberglass filler to smooth the seams out. good luck, Bob

I have the ST605 ONYX. Probably the earlier version to the one in the link.

I just formed the step on the mangled front spoiler panel off my 81SC using 130 psi no problem.

Metal is 0.047" thick.

Just saying what the tool did. Not saying this is what you should with use with fiberglass, because I don't know.

As noted by Cabrio911 1/2" throat depth by 1/16th offset.
