Ok to have weld thru overspray on top of epoxy?
As I'm making repairs I'm putting epoxy primer (or for really small areas, etch primer) on areas that will be covered (I.e., areas that I won't be able to access after welding in a given patch piece to apply epoxy) and then weld thru primer in the appropriate overlapping areas of the patch piece. Rather than masking off the areas with epoxy/etch when applying the weld thru, I'm allowing the weld thru overspray to land on the areas with epoxy/etch primer. My question is, is there any issue with weld thru overspray being on top of epoxy/etch primer?

no you should have no problem .
my guess is your letting the etch and epoxy dry before your spraying the weld primer ? |

Thanks 962. I've been letting it 'dry', as in where one could apply another coat of primer; say at least 20 mins. Should I be letting it cure or dry longer?
