Dome Light Troubleshooting
Hi, we are putting the final touches on a 1962 356B Super 90 Coupe refresh; bringing the paint and interior back to stock. The initial electrical check finds the dome lights non functioning. I did a search and was curious not to find one or more threads on dome light issues. In my experience VWs and Porsches can have vexing dome light issues.
If anyone has suggestions on where to start that would be great, in the meantime I'll post what I find as I try to get the dome lights to work.

Check that the lamp has a good ground. If you are using the original lamp it has a small tab that is connected to ground. Where these lamps are installed, sometimes the headliner is between the ground tab and the body.

All the switches are on the ground side, only need a hot wire to the bulb.

had a very similar issues with my 89... Driver side door switch. Pulled the ground switch, sanded up the contact points, cleaner with acetone and good to go!
