What octane rating for a 356C?

Hi guys I'm working at a studio in London and the girl that owns it has a 65' 356C she inherited from her Dad and she wants to know what type of petrol she should put in it. Over here I believe they go by RON ratings but even if you only know the suggested CLC rating I can convert it for her into a RON rating.

Mine runs fine on 87, others (in other states with different mixtures, etc) use the highest they can get (91 or 93 IIRC).

Thanks, she just informed me that it's actually a 58' so I guess that would make it a 356A? At any rate, I'm sure the same gas would be appropriate.

Yup, that would be an A, but gas requirements should eb the same.

I drove my SC (64) to the West coast and back using 87 with no ill-effects. If you plan to drive aggresively, bump it up for a little less detonation.
