Gratuitous shots

Here are a couple random shots of my dad's 1st race car, which I plan to get back out on the track this season ($$ permitting)

I'll take some more pics this week and post them. My other weapon of choice is a 914-6 vintage race car.

Holly smokes.

Great goobly gook, now that's a PORSCHE.

EDIT:
I showed the picture to my wife; Oh, that's unusual - it's beautiful. No way should he put it at risk on the track, that's crazy.

Its funny your wife said that. This car was my fathers first race car and after a couple years he realized that it was too nice to run as his dedicated track car. From there he moved to 914s as a more affordable and replaceable chioce. Now 914s aren't cheap either...especially with the flat 6

I was waitin' around for more pics of your Dad's ride and got bored . . . you ought to suggest that he cut the top off of that little guy and make a nice four seat Cabrio.

Perspective needs work, but you get the idea:

PLEASE post more pics . . . or I'll turn it into a Monster Truck next!

I swear . . .

Nice car..

It's a 356 Pre-A about 53-4 era I guess

Running what looks to be 4.5" Fusch rims again very nice to have..

Interesting car ..I haven't read all the posts but I hope to GOD you don't chop the roof... it's a great car and you should either restore back to orginal or be active in Historic racing which I hope would do..

Just don't cut it the value will drop like a stone..

I have not intention of chopping the roof off of the car. That was someone elses doing. The car is campaigned from time to time in vintage races. I plan on running it a few times this summer. I plan on taking more shots tomorrow.

OK, enough of this nonsense about lopping the top off of this beauty. Lets see some more of those wonderful pictures!

Speaking of which, Mark . . . what a terrific website! Tons of pics of various cars and restoration shots and info, and a forum, and links pages, and . . .

Just an great place and a great job ! ! !

Well done,

TC
