What 356 was it?
I am trying to figure something out. Maybe you guys can help. My father-in-law has been a big car nut all his life. Had a great number of sports cars while in high school in the 50's. He grew up in San Clemente, CA. The car I am trying to figure out is a 1953 Porsche cabriolet that he bought new. He said there was something different about it that made it rare but he can't remember exactly. He thinks that only a very small number like his existed. The top had a padded headliner. Could it be a Continental? Or something else? He said he saw one just like it in a book somewhere a few years ago and he thought it said only 3 were made, but this is off of memory. The kicker is, while he was serving a mission for our church in the mid 50's, his mom sold it for a song (even for that day). Anyone got any ideas what this could have been. I am just trying to help him dust off the cobwebs a bit.
Thanks

In that time period, only 3 made (if true) it woulda been one of the Bueller bodied cars maybe... Probably not though.
Honestly, *any* '53 pre-A cab is gonna be special....
