Thanks Racer,
Mark recommended a shop in Madison and they work only on Porsche's and are very familiar with and rebuild/restore air cooled 356/912/911/914 engines.
Owner was very knowledgeable.
They don't advertise as to I never heard of them before.
All their heads go to Mark in Milw.
This shop is only 4 miles from the car!
Mom& Dad purchased the '60 Roadster in 1960 [restored '92-'93 less engine] and they/we still enjoy it.

Hello,

I would highly recommend Reid Vann Imports, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Brett,
Mark at Ecurie maintains my sister's race car, so I can vouch for their outstanding work. The shop that you are referring to in Madison is Bach Racecraft correct? Jim has done a lot of early 911 work for both of my 911's and has also done work on both of my father's early 911's. He also works a lot with 356's - those and the early 911 family of cars are his specialty. His work is outstanding and he is a great guy.

I have to also put out a plug for Larry Marzano in northern IL. He is also a master at what he does and specializes in early 911's, but no car type is beyond his capabilities. He has done work on my 69 and has done a lot of work for our little Midwest R Gruppe family. Larry is also a great guy and does fantastic work. Let me know if you want contact info for either person.

You cannot go wrong with Jim or Larry... Good luck.

Thanks guys,

I now found and visited 2 shops that specialize in 356/air cooled Porsche's,
and they are both with in 10 miles from the car!

Looks like ether shop has the resources to rebuild our 356 engine if needed.

Brett
